Just A Formality - Bridal Gowns & Formal Wear

Tis the Season to Look Stylish

by Edie on December 16th, 2007

Here are 4 tips on how to dress fashionably this holiday season…

1) Have a blue christmas – Vibrant colors are in this season, so don’t feel like you have to stick to red or dark tones; dress in rich shades of blue, purple, green, and even pink.

2) Silver and gold — are also big.  Add sparkle to your holiday with shiny metallics or sequins.

3) All I want for Christmas — is for you to remember to dress according to your body type.  Just because something is in doesn’t mean you should put it on.  Some looks will flatter you, some current fashions can be adjusted and made to work with your particular figure, and some should just be avoided no matter how popular they are at the moment.  Not sure what your body type is or how to dress for it?  Check out this list of body types and what to wear for each of them at essortment.com.

4) I wonder as I wander — if you remembered to update your accessories along with your winter clothes?  Pairing a lovely new dress with ratty old shoes can really ruin a look.  Be aware of your accessories and how they look, including handbags, jackets, and scarves.  Confused about how to wear a scarf?  Check out these easy-to-follow scarf instructions from southalf.com for 4 different ways to look great in a winter scarf.

I hope you all have a fantastic and lovely holiday!
